Description

This lady beetle has a yellow body with dark lines making a pattern of squares on the back, resembling a net or the shell of a tortoise.

Adult size: 6 mm

Out and about

Most common in spring when aphids are breeding. This lady beetle is native to Australia and is found mainly on the east coast subtropical areas and further south to Tasmania with some located in the southern tip of Western Australia
